| Guards won't notice Ezio when he shoots their comrades from a long enough distance. They will attack if you are close enough and they notice you firing a poison dart however. Poisoning guards (especially [[Seekers]]) is a good distraction that may hold any nearby guards' attention long enough for you to sneak in and assassinate them. Firing a dart at your target from a crowd of civilians will not draw attention to Ezio, allowing you to kill your target while blending. Unfortunately firing a poison dart at a [[horsemen|horseman]] will not have any effect on him.
