Peter III Fyodorovich (Russian: Пётр III Фёдорович; 21 February 1728 – 17 July 1762) was Emperor of Russia for six months in 1762. He was eventually succeeded by his wife Catherine II, who seized power in a coup d'état. During the coup d'état, Peter was assassinated, possibly by the Assassin Brotherhood.[1]
