The Nestor Checkpoint was a 5th century BCE military camp in the Bay of Hades in Messenia, Greece. Found in the eastern part of the region, it protected the mountain pass between the Bay of Hades and Valley of Aristomenes.
During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra explored the place.[1]
Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]
The Nestor Checkpoint, a point of interest in Assassin's Creed: Odyssey, is likely named after Nestor, a king of Pylos and Messenia in Greek mythology.
