Promotional art of the Ram's Kukri

The Kukri is a short, bladed weapon of Nepalese origin, similar to a machete, but with a characteristic curved blade bent towards the opponent. Due to increasing limitations and regulations regarding weaponry, particularly during the Victorian era, it was considered less acceptable to openly carry arms of any kind, even for personal defense. To balance the need for protection while still abiding by the law, the streets of London saw increased usage of close-combat weapons like the kukri.

Imported to the United Kingdom from the furthest reaches of the British Empire, various kukris were readily available to the British Assassins. Notable wielders included the twins Evie and Jacob Frye, and the branch's London correspondent, Henry Green. The trio used them to great effect in their quest to wrest control of the city back from the British Templars under Crawford Starrick.[1] Use of the kukri continued until at least World War I, with Lydia Frye carrying a replica of Henry's blade while protecting London from the Templars and German spies.[2]

Though designed primarily for chopping, alternative uses included being thrown or used in combination with cane-swords and firearms. They were the most lethal melee weapon available to the Frye twins, but had lower stunning impact than cane-swords.[1]
