Due to increasing limitations and regulations regarding weaponry, particularly during the [[Victorian era]], it was considered less acceptable to openly carry arms of any kind, even for personal defense. To balance the need for protection while still abiding by the law, the streets of [[London]] saw increased usage of close-combat weapons like the kukri.


They are the most lethal melee weapon available in Syndicate but have low impact.
Imported to the [[United Kingdom]] from the furthest reaches of the [[British Empire]], various kukris were readily available to the [[British Brotherhood of Assassins|British Assassins]]. Notable wielders included the twins [[Evie Frye|Evie]] and [[Jacob Frye]], and the branch's London correspondent, [[Jayadeep Mir|Henry Green]].
