Kamikura-jinja Shrine

Kamikura-jinja Shrine is a Shinto shrine and one of Kumano Hayatama Taisha's original shrines in Kii, Japan.

History[edit | edit source]

In 1582, the Kakushiba ikki members Fujibayashi Naoe and Yasuke visited the shrine and paid respect to two of its smaller shrines. While there, they also climbed atop a tree nearby and surveyed the land. Going a bit further west of the shrine, they also found a chest and retrieved the ōdachi Loyal Traveler from its contents.[1]
