The Great Fire of New Orleans was a major conflagration of the center of New Orleans, Louisiana on 21 March 1788.[1] The fire began at the home of Don Vicente Jose Nuñez, the army paymaster and a member of the Louisianian Templars. While tracking the rumored presence of a "Rougarou", a group of Assassins from the Louisiana Brotherhood came upon the scene soon after the fire started, but the flames had already spread to the municipal building, barracks, and armory nearby.
