Giorgio Fiorentino Marchesi (1415 – c. 1484) was an Italian architect and military engineer.
Biography[edit | edit source]
Architectural commissions[edit | edit source]
In 1471, Forlì's incumbent lord Pino III Ordelaffi commissioned Giorgio to construct the Rocca di Ravaldino.[1][2] Ten years later,[3] the new lord Girolamo Riario commissioned him to add a citadel to enlarge the fortress.[1][2]
Legacy[edit | edit source]
In 2012, the Assassin historian Shaun Hastings noted Giogio's construction of the Rocca di Ravaldino in the location's database entry for the Animus 2.0;[1] the Templar front-group Abstergo Entertainment also included this information in their 2014 Identity Project database.[2]
