The Death-Mark Bow was a fine bow made in the 5th century BCE Kythera Island. The bow was considered able to mark its victims for death, and thus earned its name.
History[edit | edit source]
During the Peloponnesian War, the bow was bought by a fisherman who hoped to become a lynx-hunter. Before he set out to hunt the animals, he showed off the bow in Skandeia Harbor, as it was the finest bow anyone had seen there in ages. The bow became the talk of the town, and the fisherman thought himself ready to face the beasts. Soon after he'd left, his wife begged the Spartan misthios Kassandra to save her 'idiot'. Kassandra agreed, and saved the man, though he was injured. In return, Kassandra was given this bow.[1]

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]
The Death-Mark Bow, a weapon in Assassin's Creed: Odyssey, shares the same model as the commonly found Ornate Bow, another weapon in the same game. These are both the recycled model of the Wings of Ashur, a weapon in Assassin's Creed: Origins.
