Monsieur de Chevallier (died 1771) was a weapons smith in New Orleans during the eighteenth century. He used his influence to control the prices of weapons in the area, through which he gained his wealth. When the Assassin Aveline de Grandpré learned of this, she sought him out in the city. Placing a powder keg in his path, she shot it and thus killed the corrupt merchant.
