Please make a greater effort at not copying Wikipedia's ledes. It's important to put a little thought into it. For the purposes of the Assassin's Creed article, it's not necessary to list that he was also a poet and philosopher. (Wikipedia article itself barely mentions any philosophizing.) The whole lede could be contracted to just say he was the leader of the 30 Tyrants, which already means he was a politician.

Critias (c. 460 BCE – 403 BCE) was the leader of the Thirty Tyrants, a group of oligarchs put into power by Sparta over Athens after the Peloponnesian War.[1]

During the Tyrants' rule, Critias often clashed against fellow member Theramenes over governance.[1] Following a dispute over Polemachus, Critias attempted to have Theramenes assassinated. Although this was thwarted with the help of the misthios Kassandra,[2] Critias later forced Theramenes to commit suicide via poison.[3]
