Caratacus (fl. 1st century CE) was the leader of the Catuvellauni and brother to Togodomnus. Along with his brother, Caratacus fought against the Roman Empire's incursions into Britain, becoming a thorn in their side.
At some point in his life, Caratacus went to the Brigantes for sanctuary, though Cartimandua betrayed him and delivered him to the Romans against her husband's counsel.[1][2]
