I see your point, though Syndicate does seem to have some significant gameplay improvements. One of the screenshots indicated combat taking place on moving vehicles which would make for some more fast-paced and excited gameplay, a mechanic is based on the naval technology they developed for AC3 and AC4 (having NPC's and the player being able to navigate terrain that is in motion and not stationary like land or buildings).
