The groups of people that our shown in the game aren't real (as in the groups that have stretched from the dawn of humanity all the way to now, not the real life Knight Templar and the Hashashin who were founded only about 900 years ago). Ubi created them to explore the real life concepts like the NWO. So for this guy, that's probably about as real as Assassin's Creed can get.
