In my opinion, it should really be just a stand-alone movie that tells of an interesting ancestor who we haven't met yet, in an interesting or familiar time period, and most of all act only as a way of introducing people into the world of Assassins Creed. Trying to mimic the storyline of the game is pointless and more importantly, not necessary.

Remember, that only a portion of the people seeing the movie will have played the game, but they can easily figure out what is happening by reading it up online. Therefore, the movie needs to stand on its own, introduce people to the world of AC, and not try to cram the Epic Tales that are the game's stories.
