That should be an easy question to answer but it isn't for me. I guess the best way I can explain it is that I want Desmond to be my favorite but so far we have seen so very little of him or the world (in game modern elements) that he is in. Each Assassin we have seen so far has been one of historys (of their respective time periods) catalysts for great change. Altair renewed the order, Ezio strengthened it and Desmond will hopefully save it (and the world now). Though we know so little about Connor, I can already tell he is going to be another prominent figure in the Assassins story so my hopes for him are already high.

So my answer is that I want Desmond to be my favorite but at the moment Subject 16 has that title because of the shear sacrifice and hardship he willingly endured to ensure that Desmond would have a shot at making things right.
