| ACBThe Virtual Training Room missions are missions that take place in the new addition to the Animus interface, the Animus Virtual Training Program. Their purpose is to train Desmond Miles in the Animus, and to teach the player advanced moves to use in combat. The training room missions also allow you to compete online, by comparing scores on the Leaderboards. The surroundings are the background of the Animus interface.

| ==General Strategy and Tips==
| |
| ===Flawless Challenges===
| |
| The first two challenges, "Flawless Hidden Blase" and "Flawless All Weapons", are challenges where Ezio must survive against an unending onslaught of enemies without being hit once. The enemies here spawn in increasingly larger waves. The number of kills to reach each wave is highlighted below:
| |
| | |
| Wave 1: 0
| |
| Wave 2: 3
| |
| Wave 3: 13 (Agiles)
| |
| Wave 4: 30 (Seekers and Elite Guards)
| |
| Wave 5: 54 (Brutes)
| |
| Wave 6: 84 (Papal Guards)
| |
| Wave 7: 122 (Unarmed Enemies)
| |
| | |
| ====Basic Strategy====
| |
| *Execution streaks should be deployed as soon as possible to maximize your kill count while reducing the risks needed for multiple counters.
| |
| *Seekers pose a huge threat. They cannot be countered at all, unless one if using the hidden blade. If one is using any other weapon, always dodge their attacks, and retaliate while they're open, or focus on other enemies to achieve an execution streak.
| |
| *When on execution streaks, aim for Seekers first, for if your streak is somehow ended, these enemies pose a significant threat, as the technique for killing them isn't as simple as a small counter.
| |
| *Many a streak has been ended by an enemy grab. Watch for enemy grabs; if they enemy shouts a line before attacking, then they will grab you. Initiate a counter grab before the grab hits you so that you throw them over your head rather than having to break out of their grasp.
| |
| :*WARNING: If a counter-grab is successful, enemies tend to attack you while you are flipping the grabber over your head. These attacks can be countered as normal, so watch for enemy attacks while counter-grabbing!
| |
| *The sword (in Flawless All Weapons) should be your weapon-of-choice, as it has a long counter-time that can save your life.
| |
| *When using the Hidden Blade, try to stay on the offensive. Kick and attack your enemies if they are standing around not knowing what to do.
| |
| *Though Seekers and Brutes' weapons counter without fail and can deflect incoming attacks easily, it is not recommended to steal them as you will lose your weapon inside an enemy, leaving you vulnerable.
| |
| | |
| ====Advanced Strategy====
| |
| *It is advised, if you are comfortable enough, to steal an enemy weapon from the first three enemies. The added stats on each weapon can (A) Save you if you slip-up with extra Deflect, (B) Initiate a streak faster with a kick+attack combo with Speed, or (C) Kill enemies without having to execute them with Damage (for example, to Condotierro War Hammer can kill regular guards in two hits).
| |
| *In later waves, the Double-Kill is very valuable! During executions, holding down the attack button after killing someone to continue the streak instead of just tapping it will initiate a double kill. This uses up bullets or throwing knives, but it leaves you completely invincible. This means that if you use all your throwing knives on small weapon double kills, you can net yourself an easy 30 kills.
| |
| *There's a reason you have Smoke Bombs and Poison. On the last enemy of later waves, throw a smoke bomb at him and poison him. This allows you to loot the dead bodies for bullets and throwing knives used for double-kills.
| |
| *If you counter a grab and toss a person over your head, and no one attacks you while you are tossing the person, do not hesitate, you can continue your execution streak!
| |
| *If a Seeker begins to attack during a streak, you can dodge the seeker's attack and retaliate, as your execution streak can still be continued.
| |
| *If you do happen to be grabbed by an enemy while you are on a streak, upon breaking the grab, quickly attack your grabber before he falls to the floor. Your streak has not ended, and you can finish the offending enemy without waiting for him to get up.
| |
| *During execution kill animations, you can still counter-attack. Don't be too entranced by the execution kill; if an enemy begins to attack you while you are executing someone, you can cancel it immediately to counter, and resume your streak instantly!
| |
| *In later waves, Papal Guards and Brutes begin to show. With Brutes, treat them like Seekers: Dodge then attack back. However, you have to watch the brutes carefully, as they attack faster (and at times, slower). With Papal Guards, try to treat them as Brutes and Seekers. You can counter the Papal Guards if you are too uncomfortable with dodge attacking, but note that Papal Guards are immune to counters (unless counters are repeated many times).
| |
| | |
| ===Kill Streak Challenges===
| |
| In Kill Streak challenges, Ezio must maintain an Execution Streak for points. The formula for points is X * Y = Z, where X is the highest streak count, Y is the number of guard kills, and Z is the resulting product. There are three challenges: One with 0:45 time limit, one with 1:30, and one with 2:00.
| |
| | |
| Unlike Flawless Challenges, enemy types spawn based on the Streak counter:
| |
| | |
| 0: Militia
| |
| 5: Agiles
| |
| 8: Seekers
| |
| 12: Elite Guards
| |
| 15: Brutes
| |
| 18: Papal Guards
| |
| | |
| However, the frequency increases with the streak count as well.
| |
| | |
| ====Strategy====
| |
| *Here, you want to be on the offensive first! Attack the Militia first to begin your streak.
| |
| *The small weapon (knife) should be your weapon-of-choice here, as it makes execution streaks much faster then any other weapon. The sword, while effective and has some executions faster than the knife, is overall a slower weapon. The Hidden Blade is similar, with some slow animations and some fast, though it is very hard to counter with.
| |
| *Refer to the tips mentioned in the Flawless section. There are four things that many believe to end streaks but in reality, dont:
| |
| :*Grabs
| |
| :*Counter Grabs
| |
| :*Counters made during a streak
| |
| :*Dodging attacks
| |
| :Don't let these things deter you, move on to the next enemy like you would with any.
| |
| *Use double kills! Again, use the dagger, as switching from dagger to sword and vice versa will end your streak, so don't try to link the two different double kills. Don't start off right away with double kills, as this can kill the enmies faster than they can spawn, ending our streak quickly. Wait for Elite Guards to spawn, at least. In Short Kill Streak, choosing the right time to begin a double kill streak is crucial, as you may not use up your throwing knives in time!
| |
| :* In Medium and Long Kill Streak, try to make these streaks in the last minute, for if you lose your streak countering Papal Guards, Brutes, and Seekers will be tough.

| ==Trivia==
| |
|
| |
| *Completing all the training challenges with a Bronze medal or higher will unlock the Raiden Skin for Ezio. This may be referring to the fact that Raiden was mostly trained in VR missions, as stated in Metal Gear Solid 2.
| |
| *Within the training missions, Ezio is not affected by armor or weapon customizations, and is always wearing the default Assassin White robes, with a set of the Seusenhofer armor; although he is affected by outfit customizations. He will always be equipped with the Common Sword, stiletto, double hidden blades, the standard Codex additions to the hidden blade, and the crossbow.
| |
| *Earning 3 gold medals will reward the player the "Perfectionist" achievement/trophy, which also unlocks 20 Uplay Units.
| |
| *Rebecca Crane tells Desmond that as he completes challenges, she will add new ones, however, she never does this at any time in the game.
| |
| *In trailers of Brotherhood, it is shown that the game previously contained a chasing VR mission, as Ezio is seen running in a crowd of civilians, chasing his golden target while in Eagle Vision. It is not explained why this was cut from the game.
