Their purpose is to train [[Desmond Miles]] in the Animus, and to teach the player advanced moves to use in combat. According to [[Ubisoft]], "''The VR room missions also allow you to compare score online on leaderboards".'' The surroundings are the background of the Animus interface.

| *Completing all the training challenges (Bronze medal or higher) will unlock the [[Raiden|Raiden skin]] for Ezio. This may be referring to the fact that Raiden was mostly trained in VR missions, as stated in MGS2.
