Denis Molinier was a Montaubanian occultist and alchemist as well as a member of the French Rite of the Templar Order.

Biography[edit | edit source]

Deeply interested in Nicolas Flamel, Molinier produced the famous "Flamel images", which consisted of obscure figures that combined symbolic and chemical formulations.[1] During the French Revolution, Molinier owned a part of the missing mechanism that gave access to Flamel's laboratory beneath Notre-Dame which held the purported elixir of life he so coveted. However, upon learning of Molinier's interests, the French Assassin Arno Dorian infiltrated Molinier's townhouse and stole his piece of the mechanism.[2]

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • It is possible to kill Molinier instead of just pickpocketing him in order to acquire the key opening the chest that contained the mechanism.
  • The historical Molinier lived from 1711 to around 1777. [citation needed]
