Arbaaz was convinced that the diamond worn by the Maharajah wasn't the real one. He would then protect the artifact by stealing the real one from the Toshakhana, the treasure chamber, and let the Templars fail to grab the real one.
Arbaaz told Raza to look out for Singh's treasure keeper, Bustee Ram, as they posed as Kashmir emissaries at the palace.
