A Sage reportedly lived in Constantinople under the reign of the Byzantine Emperor Justinian I during the 6th century.

Abstergo Entertainment recovered genetic memories belonging to a Byzantine bishop in which appeared a potential Sage, a member of his Congregation, but the Templars had been unable to confirm this by 2014.[1]
