Curing Bryce

I don't remember any mention by Kassandra that she was going to use the crazy woman's supposed cure on Bryce. Besides that, it would be quite impossible to do so even if it had been legit, because after turning Bryce to stone, Medusa promptly smashed her into rubble. If the Writhing Dead quest is complete when starting The Elixir Kassandra says the following to the old lady - "Give it to me! A friend of mine was recently turned to stone."

Oh, I see. I normally clear the eastern side of the island first. I'll have to try to remember to leave the crazy woman side quest until after Medusa next time so I can see this version.
