They're not related at all. As far back as the 1980's, Chinese entertainment has had many female assassin figures in their dramas and films. It isn't even the same period nor do they share the same story nor are they remotely similar to one another aside from being female assassins.

I ''did'', however, stumble upon another obscure Chinese film, as obscure as this one, which ''was'' clearly a rip-off of Shao Jun because the heroine had an almost identical costume. I will need to try to find it again though. It was so cringey.
