'''Ōmura Sumitada''' (大村 純忠, 1533 – 1587) was a [[Japan]]ese daimyō, famous for being the first among them to convert to [[Christianity]].

[[Jesuits|Jesuit]] priest [[Gaspar Vilela]], a prominent propagator of the Christian faith, was responsible for Sumitada's conversion, after which the daimyo became a fervent Christian.
