'''Winchell''', known by his epiteths '''The Usurper''' and later '''The Robesfree''', was an [[Anglo-Saxons|Anglo-Saxon]] man who lived in [[Cambridgeshire|Grantebridgescire]], [[Mercia]] around 870s CE. 

Winchell was a nudist, who believed that all should disrobe and live without clothes under the grace of God, including the many nobles of Grantebridgescire as well as [[Alfred the Great|Alfred of Wessex]]. Being banished from the nobles' presence, Winchell founded a group of nudists, though at some point was also exiled from them for his enthusiasm.
