After landing, Griffin rented an SUV for the group and drove to a hardware store for shovels before they continued onward to the city's countryside. Getting to the forest and eventually the ''Dolkkälla'' buildings themselves, the group learned where the prong and waited until evening to grab it. Griffin infiltrated the facility alone, but Abstergo guards in helicopters appeared and fired gunshots. Griffin, pursued by agents, raced towards the springhouse. Grace, Owen, and Griffin fought off Abstergo agents in a desperate struggle. Regrouping with Natalya, the group tried to help Griffin, who urged them to leave him in light of a severe injury he had sustained and handed Grace the prong. Despite Owen's objections, they fled, and Griffin succumbed to his injuries in a stream.
