The '''Vault of the Ancients''' was an ancient vault that was found in the [[Old City]], [[Uldar]], [[Gullnámar]], in [[Svartálfaheimr]]. During the warlord [[Surtr]]'s invasion, his son [[Glöð]] used the vault as a prison cell for his captive, [[Dwarf|dwarven]] [[blacksmith]] [[Ivaldi]].

==History==
In [[Eivor Varinsdottir]]'s visions of [[Odin]]'s time in Svartalfheim, the [[Æsir]] lord Havi and his dwarven allies, [[Einar]], [[Fritjof]] and [[Tyra]] opened the vault and found Ivaldi alive, contrary to reports of him dying at Muspels' hands. Ivaldi detailed his capture from a fiery beast who dragged him towards the vault and the injuries he sustained from it. When Einar asked for the relic, Ivaldi admitted to dismantling the device so Glöð could not use it.
