==History==
In 1570, Gresham founded the [[Royal Exchange]], having been inspired by [[Belgium]]'s {{Wiki|Bourse of Antwerp}}. Being the main investor, his influence was such that the building featured a grasshopper - the insect on his coat of arms - on the weathervane and a statue of him in the open courtyard.<ref name="Database">''[[Assassin's Creed: Syndicate]]'' – [[Database: Royal Exchange]]</ref>

==Legacy==
In 1844, the building for the Royal Exchange was rebuilt (for the second time) after a fire and Gresham's grasshopper returned to the weathervane, where it has remained since.<ref name="Database"/>
