In 1841, sepoys under the [[East India Company]] were deployed under both [[Templars]], [[Alexander Burnes]] and [[Master Templar]] [[William Sleeman]]. While some of the soldiers were under attack by the Afghans, some stayed behind to guard Mir, who was captured, at [[Katasraj Temple]] in [[Pakistan]].<ref>''[[Assassin's Creed Chronicles: India]]''— [[The Thief Within]]</ref> However, they were defenseless as Mir escaped and the war in Afghanistan proved too great. Once Mir reached the temple's courtyard, all of Burnes' soldiers watched as Mir and their leader Burnes fought one-on-one with each other. However, after Burnes lost his match, sepoys aimed their guns at Arbaaz. Back in India, sepoys and fellow guards under Sleeman held Princess [[Pyara Kaur]] hostage under the Master Templar's orders.
