'''Olaf the White''' (c. 820 – 870s) was a [[Vikings|Viking]] {{Wiki|sea-king}} who reigned as King of [[Dublin]] from 853 to his death, according to some sources he ruled jointly with kinsman [[Ímair|Ímar]].

Born in Ireland to {{Wiki|Ingjald Helgasson}}, he married {{Wiki|Aud the Deep-minded}}, daughter of [[Ketil Flatnose]], and had a son, [[Thorstein the Red]] who operated in Ireland and would later attempt to raid Scotland.

==Biography==
When Ivarr Ragnarsson traveled to Ireland to participate in more Viking raids, Olaf met with him and offered him a seat at his table. Olaf told Ivarr of his plan to return to Scotland. Having already fought with the Picts, he desired to defeat the Bretons next.
