During the [[Peloponnesian War]], Obelia ran a scam of hiring [[Mercenary|mercenaries]] to help her retrieve an ancient {{Wiki|Minoan civilization|Minoan}} treasure within the [[Submerged Minoan Palace|ruins]] south of Keos.<ref name="We're Not Thieves">''[[Assassin's Creed: Odyssey]]'' – [[We're Not Thieves]]</ref> This lasted until the [[Sparta]]n ''misthios'' [[Kassandra]] managed to fight the [[Great white shark|sharks]] and recover the treasure. When Kassandra met Obelia on the latter's [[trireme]], Obelia refused to pay her, and instead sought to kill Kassandra.
