The '''Equestrian Statue of Henry IV''' is a monument in [[Paris]].

Located at the [[Île de la Cité]] at the crossing of the [[Pont Neuf]] bridge, the bronze statue was constructed in dedication to [[Henry IV of France]]. The stallion of the statue was cast in [[Florence]] and shipped to Paris in 1614 to await the cast of the king. The stallion was riderless for 21 years, referred to by the Parisians as simply "the bronze horse". Eventually, the statue was completed. During the [[French Revolution]], the site of the statue was used as a meeting point and a recruiting office for volunteers to fight [[Prussia]].
