In the 870s, Ealwyn was in constant state of mourning over the loss of her cat Sphinxy, from over the past eleven years. One day, [[Eivor Varinsdottir]] of the [[Raven Clan]] found her sobbing and helped her build a shrine for Sphinxy. After acquiring some of Sphinxy's items from Ealwyn's house, Eivor completed the shrine for Sphinxy.
