[[Hippokrates]] was born and raised in [[Astypalia City]] as an {{Wiki|Asclepiads (title)|Asklepiad}}, a member of a group believed to be descendants of the healing god [[Asklepios]]. When Hippokrates was young, he [[The Doctor Will See You Now|worked]] as a [[Doctor|healer]] assistant and met [[Myrrine]], who was carrying a [[The Big Break|heavily-wounded]] [[Alexios]] with her. Myrrine sought medical aid for her son but was turned away by Kippokrates due to his inexperience. This failure was an important moment for Hippokrates.

Hippokrates began working even harder on his craft and eventually theorized that diseases were caused naturally and need eto be healed as such, as opposed to traditional healing by praying to the [[Greek mythology|gods]] for help. In 429 BCE, Hippokrates [[A Growing Sickness|travelled]] to [[Athens]] hoping to aid the city suffering from a terrible [[Plague of Athens|plague]]. He convinced the people to burn the corpses to prevent the spread of the disease.

Hippokrates became a well-renowned physician for his skill and philosophies in medicine. He created the {{Wiki|Hippocratic Oath}}, an oath sworn by doctors to do no harm to patients, amongst other tenets. His influence on modern medicine earned him the title "The Father of Medicine".
