The '''Clausentum Bandit Hideout''' was a former [[Roman Empire|Roman]] town located southeast of [[Wincestre]] in southeastern [[Hamtunscire]]. During the [[Middle Ages|Medieval period]], the town, largely a ruin, was occupied by a band of bandits who revered Queen [[Seaxburh of Wessex]], referring to her as queen of the {{Wiki|Gewisse}}.

In the 870s, the hideout was visited by the the [[Viking]] [[Eivor Varinsdottir]].
