A '''Book of Knowledge''' is the name given to an {{Wiki|illuminated manuscript}} containing information on particular [[Skill Tree (Assassin's Creed: Valhalla)|combat skills]], be it ranged or melee. Save for a few exceptions, almost every skill was written about in such detail that the contents had to be split into two volumes which were kept separate from each other, though whether it was to make work easier between {{Wiki|limner}} teams or to prevent concentration of knowledge is unclear. The texts were particularly valuable to both the limners who made them and to any people who sought them out, and as a sign of this, the books were often kept on lecterns with a [[marble]] base and backing, open for ready access .<ref name="ACV">''[[Assassin's Creed: Valhalla]]''</ref>

The Books were represented in the [[Animus]] map function by a closed book with an enlarged {{Wiki|Elder Futhark}} [[Runes|rune]] {{Wiki|Ansuz (rune)|Ansuz}} ⟨ᚨ⟩ on the cover.<ref name="ACV"/>

The in-game asset's {{Wiki|recto and verso}} page spread depicts two different sheets from separate manuscripts made centuries apart.
