'''Itō Ittōsai Kagehisa'' (伊藤 一刀斎 景久; c. 1560 – 1653) was a [[Japan|Japanese]] swordsman attributed with founding {{Wiki|Ittō-ryū}} school of ''{{Wiki|kenjutsu}}''.

==Biography==
In his early years, Ittōsai spent time honing his skill in ''[[kata]]'' around the {{Wiki|Kansai region}}, basing himself near water areas such as the [[Tsuruga Port Overlook]] in [[Wakasa]], and southeast of [[Shiotsu]] in [[Ōmi]]. At both of these locations, Ittōsai was sought out by the [[ronin]] [[Yasuke]], who sought to learn ''kata'' from him.
