==Biography==
Little is known of Goemon's origin, except that he was once a [[shinobi]] in [[Iga]], training under [[Momochi Sandayu]]. After being caught in an accident with Sandayu's mistress, Goemon was exiled from Iga, with stories of his exile spread amongst the rest of the ''Iga-ikki''.<ref name="ACSH">''[[Assassin's Creed: Shadows]]''</ref>

In 1582, while in Iga, the [[samurai]] [[Yasuke]] came across several Igan ninja speaking of Goemon's disgraceful act when he had supposedly return to Iga.<ref name="ACSH" />
