Well they still need to keep core features or else it won't feel like an AC game so you can't expect them to remove things that have remained unchanged since the first game but I do agree on an overhaul and indeed, a crouch button. However if they remove all the previous features and tricks then it should be a reboot or stand-alone game, not a sequel to the current game series.
