Yeah, for sure... I found myself not as addicted to playing Origins as previous titles in the series, I haven't been this lax with an AC game since Revelations; if not for the resolution of Altair's story, it would have been fairly forgettable in my eyes. I was not initially a fan of the combat or the new form of Eagle Vision since it feels like such a departure from the series, and having to level up just to assassinate guards felt stupid and unrealistic. That said, I do feel it's a step in the right direction. Still, perhaps it can merely be unique to Bayek and the next AC protagonist can have a different combat style. I personally believe that AC3's combat system was the epitome of the series' fighting system, and bringing that back and included new variations for the new protagonist would be great. I get that fans felt overpowered but the freeflow system can still be challenging. It certainly took me a while to get the hang of Brotherhood's combat system, and even then, I still got hit and missed opportunities for counters. With the improvement of enemy A.I's awareness and difficulty, we can introduce a counterattacking system for A.I, a feature that was present in Origins, and in the Arkham games, starting also in... Origins. 

Well, they had been working on Origins alongside Syndicate, so that was a 2 year development period, which I feel is reasonable. I don't feel it's necessarily too late, early 2017 would have been at least since Christmas of last year (2017), and going for Fall 2019 is roughly 2 years of development. What makes you say it will be released in Fall of 2018? 

Yeah, I agree with you there. I felt the series went downhill after AC3 when they killed off Desmond. Ezio and Altair are still easily reminders of the peak of the AC franchise, but hopefully, with the revival of the series that Origins brought, we will get some improvements to the series, and maybe some callbacks to the old school style of the Ezio trilogy.
