==Biography==
In 1725, the sultan received a guest at his court: [[Jan van Aert]], the Chief Navigator of the [[Dutch East India Company]], who informed him of a powerful [[Crescent amulet|artifact]] that was in the possession of Jan's associates, the [[Zhawang Corporation|Zhang Wei Union]].<ref name="EP 86">''[[Assassin's Creed: Forgotten Temple]]'' – Episode 86</ref> Sharing a common interest to see the [[Spanish Empire]]'s dominion over the [[Philippines]] brought to an end, Jan promised to deliver the artifact into the sultan's hands to help him gain an advantage over his rivals.
