In the 870s, Axhead fought against an opponent and bested his enemy, but sustained a fatal wound of a small [[battleaxe]] in his head. Sitting on a log, he was met by a traveler, [[Eivor Varinsdottir]] of the [[Raven Clan]], while she noticed his injury.
