Echoes in myths[edit source]

Pity we know so little about this. But it's a conflict that seems to have carried into the Greco-Roman myths, if Titanomachy is anything to go. It doesn't help that after this war, Jupiter seems to have risen to power. Just like Zeus and his siblings rising as the 'new gods' after ending Kronos' reign.Sadelyrate (siniath) 12:31, January 18, 2019 (UTC)

Except Saturn/Kronos was still around until the start of the human rebellion. So while the event does seem to be inspired by many cultures and their myths involving the fall of primordial gods, Ubisoft has gone with a slightly different take on it all regarding who the major players were. Change of ruling party doesn't mean the former dies: Kronos didn't die in Titanomachy, and the Isu are known to live longer than humans (one reason for humanity observing them as 'divine'). Saturn also seemed to be relatively old + he is the father of Juno.Sadelyrate (siniath) 13:41, January 18, 2019 (UTC)
I agree with the basic premise that Ubisoft was drawing from the Titanomachy and the like when conceiving the War of Unification even though I find it unlikely the event would be retained in collective human memory given the timescale and the fact that we don’t know when during Isu civilization it happened and if humans had been modified to be sapient yet. But what I was mainly getting at was the Greek myths get a lot wrong about Isu history such as Juno being born after Hephaestus or her marriage to the underworld deity. Humans weren't there during WoU. Consus tells Gramática in ACS that humans came only after he'd gotten trapped in his Shroud prototype = after the WoU. But the ruling Isu/whatever might have had records of it...which were reinterpreted as Gods Warring/War in Heaven/etc. I do agree that myths get stuff 'wrong' about the Isu, or certain myths. There are, after all, stories about, say, Vulcan being the father of Jupiter, and such. Sadelyrate (siniath) 15:02, January 18, 2019 (UTC)
I had completely forgot about that tidbit in their conversations, thanks. Hopefully we do get a more explicit timeline, like does the Disaster happening on 2306 Isu era mean there civilizations was younger than recorded human history and that Juno was only 101 or do they count differently. I know some people wish the Isu were left more a vague but I think we've gone too far already and turning back would be worse. And I agree with your statement about Vulcan, personally I've seen Hephaestus more similar to Ptah or Sethlans or even Voltumna. As for Juno and Aita's marriage I’m holding out hope that it’s because they are also Isis and Osiris. I think we can mention in a trivia section the similarity between this war and the titanomachy et al. Lacrossedeamon (talk) 15:31, January 18, 2019 (UTC)
I don't think it needs to be mentioned (anymore than, say, Hera and Zeus being siblings, too, in Osiris/Isis-articles), this was just something that struck me, what with all the Greek mythology stuff, and then being reminded of the WoU. :) Sadelyrate (siniath) 15:38, January 18, 2019 (UTC)
Maybe it will get mentioned in TFoA but yeah I think we can wait for more info before adding any type of trivia point. Lacrossedeamon (talk) 20:28, January 18, 2019 (UTC)
