Talk:Son of Ra
Who is he[edit source]
Its interesting isn't it? He knows Bayeks name, he knows about his family, and the order. And according to the trivia on his page he could be refering to the Second Disaster. So the question is who or what is he exactly? He is given such a small amount of time in the game, but hes interesting to say the least. AaronFireBird1 (talk) 02:53, October 3, 2018 (UTC)
- Ambient NPC dialogue implies he could be a Sage but that is never verified. Lacrossedeamon (talk) 03:56, October 3, 2018 (UTC)
- Ambient NPC dialogue does no such thing. "That crazy is not right in the head. Did you see his eyes?" That's all.
- There is, however, the suggestion that someone 'high up' was interested in him. The captain of the Dionysias Caravanserai wanted to flat out execute the Son of Ra, but his superiors forbid this. Sadelyrate (siniath) 05:26, October 3, 2018 (UTC)
- Huh, according to the dialogue on the Fires of Dionysias article you are correct; I could have sworn it was more than just that with it actually saying they were mismatched but I guess I was extrapolating too much; while one could argue the “did you see his eyes” means something more than just countenance it would be a stretch. So its possible he could be a Sage. That could explain how he knew of the Solar Event, but how could he have known of Bayek and his family as well as the Order. He was also granted his own death sequence (when you assassinate someone it takes you to a "room" of some kind) which makes him unique as one of the few people not a member of the order to be given one, which makes him unique since why was he so special to have one? Though as you pointed out theres only two shreds of evidence that he could be a Sage, someone mentioning his eyes and someone higher up was interested in him. That would imply that the Order and the Templar Order later on has been hunting the sage since before the discovery of the observatory when (gameplay wise) the sage was first introduced. - The whole thing with him makes it seems like there should be something more, but due to time or whatever, they cut it out. Maybe they'll enlighten us in the future, like they did with Clay's "Sun, your son"-comment to Desmond. Or then it's just a red herring.Sadelyrate (siniath) 16:37, October 3, 2018 (UTC)
- Wait there was follow up to Clay's quote? I assume it’s Elijah but the devs actually said something about it? I’d love to see the link to that. Lacrossedeamon (talk) 17:27, October 3, 2018 (UTC)
- When people went "Wait, Desmond has a son?!", a writer said that that wasn't true, Clay had just gotten confused with all the possible futures... and then Elijah happened.
- ETA: It's mentioned in the Trivia on Clay's article. Writer Darby McDevitt said it. Sadelyrate (siniath) 17:37, October 3, 2018 (UTC)

Sunstroker[edit source]
In the note you find in the memory Fires of Dionysias he calls himself Sunstroker, Son of Ra. Should we retitle this article? Lacrossedeamon (talk) 13:36, July 24, 2019 (UTC)
- The term "Sunstroker" is only mentioned once, and it is (as far as I can tell) ambiguous as to whether he is calling himself that as a name, or as a description. Given everybody else involved in the quest simply uses the term Son of Ra, I would prefer to keep the article where it is. --Jasca Ducato (talk | contributions) 14:05, July 24, 2019 (UTC)
- I think it should at least get mentioned in the trivia section then. Lacrossedeamon (talk) 12:23, July 25, 2019 (UTC)
