Daughter of Artemis[edit source]

She's tagged as 'Pathfinder', like certain members of DoA, in addition to which she's renowned for her archery skills like DoA, on top of which she worships Artemis.Sadelyrate (siniath) 09:58, December 31, 2018 (UTC)

I'm fine with this but I do think it's more inference or speculation than an explicit fact. Lacrossedeamon (talk) 10:52, December 31, 2018 (UTC)
'Pathfinder' is a tag solely used for members of the DoA.Sadelyrate (siniath) 10:58, December 31, 2018 (UTC)
That could easily be oversight on the devs' part. Maybe they started with a pathfinder NPC type and tweaked it to make Kyra but forgot to remove the 'Pathfinder' NPC typing from her afterwards. Lacrossedeamon (talk) 09:55, January 1, 2019 (UTC)

Oversight or not, it's still in the game. If we take that route ("could, maybe, if, but" etc), we need to take a hard look at a number of articles, and argue about whose reading about what's in the game is the correct one.Sadelyrate (siniath) 10:51, January 1, 2019 (UTC)

Like I said, I don't particularly care as it doesn't really change the story either way. I'm just being the Devil's advocate, making the arguments that would be used against you. Lacrossedeamon (talk) 11:36, January 1, 2019 (UTC)

Hmm, I don't remember seeing herself being tagged as pathfinder, but that might just be me missing out the details. We can possibly indicate this in the trivia section suggesting her possible affiliation since it's not explicitly stated she's a member. Having renowned archery skills doesn't also mean shes one though. XOdeyssusx (talk) 01:09, January 2, 2019 (UTC)

If only her archery skills were remarkable, it wouldn't matter. But in connection with both Artemis and her tag (yes, it's there), it's rather a case of "if it walks like a duck, and sounds like a duck..."Sadelyrate (siniath) 09:12, January 2, 2019 (UTC)
What is it that you're suggesting, exactly? That she's a member of the Daughters of Artemis? EDIT: I've just seen that you added the category in this article, which I have now removed. Your claim that she is a DoA simply because she is "tagged" as a Pathfinder is circumstantial at best - she would need to be explicitly identified as a member of the DoA (something the game and novel does not do) before we can add such information into the article. --Jasca Ducato (talk | contributions) 09:27, January 2, 2019 (UTC)
Given that, we have quite a work cut out for us, weeding out everything not specifically mentioned in the games/books/etc., starting with the kinds of Herakles and Perseus and so forth. O.o Sadelyrate (siniath) 09:46, January 2, 2019 (UTC)
Hercules and Perseus are two realworld, historically attested (if not necesarily "real") individuals; we use their realworld history to support the in-universe content of their articles. Kyra, on the otherhand, is not. --Jasca Ducato (talk | contributions) 16:30, January 2, 2019 (UTC)

Does that, then, mean that we can mention as a fact in Jupiter's article that, say, Herakles is his son? After all, the real world history/mythology says so, even if the games/related media haven't confirmed this to be true in the AC-universe.Sadelyrate (siniath) 16:45, January 2, 2019 (UTC)

No, because that bit of realworld trvia is not relevant to the in-universe portrayals of either character and so does not provide any added context for the IU information. This is why {{WP-REAL}} exists. --Jasca Ducato (talk | contributions) 17:08, January 2, 2019 (UTC)
