Eagle Vision[edit source]

  • I thought Eagle Vision was a Animus feature, not an Assassin's feature. I.e. Giovanni didn't know his son had this ability.
  • Ezio indirectly having the ability a number of times. Also, Desmond picks it up through the Bleeding Effect.Berychance 07:36, December 1, 2009 (UTC)

Robert Carlyle[edit source]

I have noticed that Giovanni looks a lot like british actor Robert Carlyle.Andrew nicholson 18:45, January 11, 2010 (UTC) Err... Giovanni is modeled after Romano Orzari... -- D. Cello 18:54, January 11, 2010 (UTC)

OK

Federico Auditore da Firenze[edit source]

Did Giovanni really not tell Federico? I was under the impression Federico knew he was an Assassin. -- AgentValentine 07:16, February 13, 2010 (UTC)

That bit about the beak blinding one's vission looks like a assumption, besides, the thing is 1 inch large and stays at the top of the head.. doesn't make sense. -- D. Cello 16:28, February 19, 2010 (UTC)

I've had conversations with people who actually made replicas of the costume or bought official ones. Blinding is maybe exaggerated, however it does get annoying on a man's vision, depends what way you look. If you look forward it tends to hinder a part of your vision, though if you look left or right, it doesn't bother much.

I've replaced the word blinds with 'hinders', so that people won't take it too seriously. It doesn't blind you, but it gets a bit in the way.

Was Giovanni the one who saved Lorenzo de Medici from nearly drowning at the river in Florence? I'm not really sure myself, it isn't detailed here, or in Lorenzo's page. WarClownWanna Talk? 16:09, July 17, 2010 (UTC)

  • Well seeing that Giovanni was 13 years older than Lorenzo, it is possible though which Auditore saved Lorenzo is never explicitly stated. Recon1medic 14:43, July 22, 2010 (UTC)
It was stated in game that Giovanni saved Lorenzo. -- D. Cello 02:35, July 23, 2010 (UTC)
I forgot to check back at this message, thanks for confirming XD WarClownWanna Talk? 11:58, July 27, 2010 (UTC)
Hello. Lorenzo, from my own recent playthrough of ACII does not say which Auditore saved him; It is only mentioned on the bridge and Lorenzo says that he was saved from the river and instead of saying who saved him says that the friendship of their families started. If i have missed something; where he states it was Giovanni; can you send me in the right direction. 94.0.109.215 22:20, November 13, 2011 (UTC)

Naming the Auditore[edit source]

I can tell people don`t understand the Italian way of naming. It seems that people think all the Auditore are da Firenze (from Florence). The only ones who should have da Firenze in their names are the children since they were born in Florence. Mario and Giovanni were born in Monteriggioni not in Florence. And Maria had her name changed after marriage so it probably wouldn`t be Auditore da Firneze. Recon1medic 14:50, July 22, 2010 (UTC)

Who the hell is....[edit source]

....Ilario Auditore? In Giovanni's biography, it says that he is Giovanni's dad, but really, where was this stated? is it that book again? --WarClownWanna Talk? 03:06, August 7, 2010 (UTC)

  • It's mentioned in-game, in one of the database files. I'll have a look later to find which one… unforunately, I no longe have Renaissance so I couldn't say if it was in there or not :P --Jasca Ducato Council Chamber Assassination record 14:01, September 1, 2010 (UTC)
  • Nope, not in the book, I have it in my hand at this moment and no NO MENTION OF ILLARIO. AllyAuditore 16:30, September 1, 2010 (UTC)

Ilario was mentioned in the Database? I don't recall....I'll have to check it myself then :P --WarClownWanna Talk? 09:15, September 2, 2010 (UTC)

  • He was, although it's ambiguous as to whether he was the father or grandfather of Mario and Giovanni. I'm just about to change the article to reflect this. --Jasca Ducato Council Chamber Assassination record 09:53, September 2, 2010 (UTC)

I checked Giovanni's (and Mario's and the other Auditores) database entry, and yep, there was no mention of any "Ilario Auditore". So...what now? --WarClownWanna Talk? 13:33, September 4, 2010 (UTC)

  • I'm pretty sure he was mentioned somewhere, maybe the Auditore Family tomb? The Thief 13:36, September 4, 2010 (UTC)

Checked it. No Ilario there... --WarClownWanna Talk? 14:06, September 4, 2010 (UTC)

Really? Which sequence? --WarClownWanna Talk? 15:28, September 4, 2010 (UTC)

Giovanni's Message to his brother[edit source]

Shouldnt we add the message of giovanni to his brother (mario??)

anyways here it is:

Palazzo Auditore

Firenze

iv febbraio MCDLVIII

Dear Brother—

The forces against us are gathering strength, and there is

a man in Rome who has taken command of our enemies

who is perhaps the greatest power you and I will ever have

to reckon with. For this reason, I impart to you, under the

seal of utmost secrecy, the following information. If fate

should overtake me, ensure—with your life, if necessary—

that this information never falls into our enemies’ hands.

There is, as you know, a castle called Masyaf in Syria,

which was once the seat of our Brotherhood. There, over

two centuries ago, our then Mentor, Altaïr Ibn-La’Ahad,

greatest of our Order, established a library deep beneath

the fortress.

I say no more now. Discretion dictates that what else I

have to tell you of this must be in conversation and never

written down.

This is a quest I would have longed to accomplish

myself, but there is no time now. Our enemies press upon

us, and we have no time except to fight back.

Giovanni Fastest Man Ever[edit source]

According to Assassin's Creed Lineage Giovanni was in Milan on December 26, 1476. He then returned home to Florence then left for Venice. After Venice he again returned home before heading to Rome and finally back to Florence. Assassin's Creed II has him dying in 1476, which means he would have had to travel from Milan to Florence; Florence to Venice and back again; and from Florence to Rome and back in under 5 day in order to die in 1476. 68.37.149.60 00:39, June 2, 2012 (UTC)

He's not from Florence/Firenze[edit source]

Giovanni does not come from Firenze, he was not born there. He was born in Monteriggioni, so his name cannot be "da Firenze". He's just Giovanni Auditore. I recommend you to rename the page. Grazie. R. Borgia 06:57, June 27, 2012 (UTC)

Where did you find that out? Arcemz Something on your mind? 07:13, June 27, 2012 (UTC)
Regardless, he calls himself "da Firenze," such as in his speech at the end of Lineage. Strictly speaking, his family's surname isn't actually "Auditore" either, but they called themselves that, so that's how it's written. =GuardDog 07:32, June 27, 2012 (UTC)
Take a look at any of the Animus Databases within AC games and you will see that Giovanni is called "da Firenze" in nowhere. Why is it so? R. Borgia 09:08, June 28, 2012 (UTC)
Regardless, Giovanni calls himself "da Firenze," such as in his speech at the end of Lineage. Also, I don't have AC2 right now, but in Brotherhood's database, not even Ezio is called "da Firenze", even if he is referred to as such elsewhere. I don't think the database can be a clear basis. =GuardDog 09:46, June 28, 2012 (UTC)

Could someone explain why my picture dissapeared, but in the Wiki Activity it doesnt say anyone removed it?Lost Fragment (talk) 03:12, February 14, 2013 (UTC)
