Adha looks like Katy Perry[edit source]

Profile picture[edit source]
So between these two pictures...
...the one on the left is the current profile picture, and the one on the right is in the gallery. I considered switching the two because the right one is far more of a portrait picture, which is ideal for a profile picture. I think it's actually perfect. However, when I switched the two, I found that the one on the left looked awkward in the gallery, being longer than it is wide, and it simply wasn't being shown clearly enough in the gallery box and looked out of place. So maybe keeping them as is is a good compromise. What do you guys think? Sol Pacificus(Cyfiero) 23:59, January 13, 2017 (UTC)
- For infoxboxes, I always find full-body renders preferable over portrait pictures. So, I am in favour of keeping the images as they are (although I will be cropping out some of that empty space in the render, cause geez) :p Crook The Constantine District 09:55, January 14, 2017 (UTC)
- Sounds good. Sol Pacificus(Cyfiero) 00:22, January 15, 2017 (UTC)
Reference by Abstergo[edit source]
In the Trivia section, it's noted that in one of the e-mails in the first game, the one from the conference room, mentions the Chalice and how their search for it would be called off because it likely does not exist. However, a quick look at the e-mail here shows that the message actually references the Holy Grail, not the Chalice. While the Holy Grail is often thought to have been a goblet or cup, there's no proof that the Chalice and the Holy Grail are meant to be one and the same, especially since the Holy Grail is never known as the Chalice in real-life as far as I know.
However, I could've sworn that I encountered something in an Abstergo file, be it an e-mail or something recovered from the research analysts' hacks in Black Flag, that did refer to the Chalice (and not the Holy Grail), but I can't seem to find it anymore, and so I'm not sure if my memory is wrong. I could've also sworn it said that the Abstergo believes it was even false information planted by the Assassins to distract them. Sol Pacificus(Cyfiero) 01:01, January 14, 2017 (UTC)
- If the connection between the Chalice and the Holy Grail is unwarranted, it should probably be removed from the trivia section.
- As for your second querry, I'm not sure about there being a reference to the Chalice in Black Flag, but the "false information planted by Assassins" you're describing was in reference to another artifact, the Ankh. That's from a voice file that appears in Rogue, if I remember correctly. Crook The Constantine District 09:49, January 14, 2017 (UTC)
- Ooh, it's actually pretty cool that you remember it was the Ankh. :) I'm removing the Holy Grail and Chalice connection then. Sol Pacificus(Cyfiero) 00:21, January 15, 2017 (UTC)
- So the problem here is that Ubisoft used the term Holy Grail (an object from Arthurian legend) to refer to the Holy Chalice (an object from Christian mythology). The two of course are conflated both in popular culture and even mythology/legends now. So Adha being the Chalice, female, and located in the Middle East seems to (obviously in my opinion) allude to the Priory of Scion hoax and the later works that adapted and popularized it, Holy Blood, Holy Grail and The Da Vinci Code. While this is all speculative (barring somehow contacting a dev about this) I think it is interesting enough to include in the Behind the scenes section.
