Hi guys, I was just curious to see what you thought about Desmond possibly reincarnated like Aita. He did sacrifice himself to Juno and Juno, though cruel, may have rewarded Desmond with a second chance.  Perhaps future games will show how Aita became reincarnated but perhaps we will see a standalone Assassins Creed where it is strictly modern day and Desmond's new body/consciousness awakens and he is being chased by the Templars. This could possibly be what the new movie, when it is made, will revolve around. What do you think?

Run before the mob comes, son. Desmond theories has been discussed countless times before, and nobody likes the idea.<theproclamation> (talk) 08:43, May 17, 2014 (UTC)

Yes. From the very beginning the Assassin's Creed saga was about Desmond Miles' ancestry, and one of the reasons AC4 was also interesting was because the protagonist was exploring Desmond Miles' ancestry vis his genetic sample -- so it's Desmond, Desmond, and Desmond. Without Desmond, there is, like, no reason to have adventures into any others' ancestors' lives. Sorry if that's in any ways offensive.
Also, in The Truth puzzles and on the Wiki pages, seems like artefacts like the Ankh, the Shroud, and the Holy Grail were all pieces of Eden, and at least two of them are rumored to have the ability of reincarnation, but it was never confirmed - by far only the offensive abilities of the pieces of Eden were displayed large-scale. Defensive abilities were not displayed enough, and supporting abilities was never displayed.
Fun as AC4 was, it still not felt the same with Desmond dead, and I guess the protagonist-exploring-Desmond's-genetic-sample plot would only be available once. So better have the developers prove or demonstrate the Ankh/Shroud/Grail's rumored legendary powers and bring Desmond back to life! Maybe he'll become the leader against headmistress Juno. So YES, I support the idea of bringing Desmond back to life.
P.S. And maybe, just bring back Lucy as - maybe not a love interest, but a direct act of defiance against Juno!

That sounds like one of the most silly, fan-splurge things I've ever heard. No thanks. Slate Vesper (talk) 18:55, June 26, 2014 (UTC)

Are you developing the game? This is only an idea, and I was simply stating my thoughts. If you are not developing the game, you don't have the right to shut down an idea - any ideas that are not to YOUR likings. Thanks. Out. Harbinger3781 (talk) 05:02, June 27, 2014 (UTC)
"You're not developing the game, therefore your reply is invalid", is an excuse on par with "If you can't draw something better than this artist, you can't criticize". Both of which are equally ridiculous. That said, Slate and anyone else are free to express their own opinion, as long as they don't break wiki rules, regardless of how much -you- disagree with it. Throwing a hissy fit doesn't help your case, either. --Kainzorus Prime Walkie-talkie 19:54, July 1, 2014 (UTC)

To put in simple terms, Aita is not reincarnated, copies are made of him. Thom Kavanagh and Bartholomew Roberts both existed within the same timeframe, too. The Holy Grail's artifact also states that Abstergo doesn't even believe it is a Piece of Eden at all, let alone does it notify its supposed powers. The Ankh is the most minor and obscure Piece of Eden, and is the least relevant in the grand storyline.

To get back to the subject, I genuinely don't know why people want Desmond to live so badly. He's done what he had to do - save the world - and Abstergo has access to his rich ancestry. What could he bring to the plot now? It would also underwhelm the entirety of the AC3 ending if they just brought him back to life now, and that would be a big cop-out. -- Master Sima Yi Talk 20:03, July 1, 2014 (UTC)

I think some people feel a great compulsion to see Zomb-Desmond rise again to lead the Assassins to ultimate victory forevah, as if that's not blatant fan-service and complies to the fairy-tale stereotype that all stories end happily ever after. Also, Kain, it's quite cute that you're trying to lecture me on "hissy fits".
But, Harbinger, you're right when you say I don't develop the games. But the thing is, neither do you, so don't get all hot and bothered at me and tell me that I'm trying to "shut down" your idea. As Kain has mentioned, anyone is free to express their opinion here provided it stays in the boundaries of the Wiki's rules, which does include you, and does include me. All I've given is my opinion that I think your idea is a bad one and that I don't consider it happening any time soon, if at all.
Honestly though, I could have been more courteous, that much is true, but I see this topic popping up so many times now that I just wish I could physically drum the understanding into people. Desmond died sacrificing himself for the world, Abstergo has his DNA sampled and ready to be worked through by other people, so any genetic worth he has is already established elsewhere and now he's a worthless plot point.
Grabbing a "magical" cloth that hasn't successfully resurrected someone body and soul without imprinting a split personality – and even in this case it was a one-off, with most bodies mimicking life and fading away once it's removed – and a pseudo-canon Egyptian cross that only worked for one night so some First Civ couple could get humping to pass on the bloodline, in order to bring back a character with not that much personality other than his brash 'Murica tendencies, the daddy issues, the angsty teen "I hate my parents and want to run away from my responsibilities", and the dewey-eyed realization of impending death to then become super-leader of the secret killer cult... well, I don't have to tell you how unrealistic it sounds.
To conclude this wall of text, next time just be the more mature one and ask for constructive criticism. Even I can be a douche some days. Slate Vesper (talk) 23:39, July 1, 2014 (UTC)
I was lecturing the other guy on hissy fits, Slert. --Kainzorus Prime Walkie-talkie 23:45, July 1, 2014 (UTC)
Well, damn. Sorry Kain. Must have read the revision history a bit wrong. :S

You missed out on the Ankh. --Kainzorus Prime Walkie-talkie 11:09, July 2, 2014 (UTC)
Gee, Maybe you were right(missed out the "Aita" part - didn't recognize that name before). Wouldn't want Desmond - a good kid - to be "reincarnated" into likes of Roberts or that "John" weirdo(Yech!). Maybe "reincarnation like EVELYN O'CONNELL" would be better, but Aita?
Still, I guess none of us is deciding Desmond's fate - that's the top brass' job. If Ubi really is to bring him back, hope they do it right - this is breaking the laws of Nature we're talking about here. Way too many variables. And not to mention the potential price the Assassins would have to pay.
