Regicide?[edit source]

If Aya and Brutus are counted as regicide for Cesar who was only dictator, maybe the individual who killed a doge may count? And what about Wilkes Booth?Francesco75 (talk) 16:29, November 2, 2019 (UTC)

Caesar is an odd case as some historians consider him the first Roman emperor while some don't seeing as it looks like we don't aya, et al. shouldn't be on here. John Wilkes Booth shouldn't either. Lacrossedeamon (talk) 01:07, November 3, 2019 (UTC)
I've gone ahead and removed both Brutus and John Wilkes Booth. Sol Pacificus(Cyfiero) 01:27, November 3, 2019 (UTC)
Forgot to answer Francesco's question. I'm actually not sure if a doge would count or not. The governmental system of the Republic of Venice was quite unique in that the head of state was elected but doge originated as a noble title. Some sources online say that Venice had an elected monarchy, but I think most sources simply leave it ambiguous. I have read political science books that argue it was a "mixed government" or that was what its architects saw it as, one that was intended to be a hybrid of monarchy, oligarchy, and democracy. Amunet is considered in the sense that she "killed" Cleopatra via poison. While this was slighty changed a bit in the recent Origins comic, can still say she killed her indirectly, thus making her a regicide. XOdeyssusx (talk) 02:13, November 3, 2019 (UTC)
But what about Dogecide? Lacrossedeamon (talk) 04:31, November 3, 2019 (UTC)
And what about Elizabeth the first, she ordered the execution of Mary Stuart, Queen of Scotland?Francesco75 (talk) 08:07, November 3, 2019 (UTC)
