The Stade Bollaert-Delelis is a football stadium in Lens, France. It can accommodate more than 38,000 people, a number higher than the city's population of 32,000.[1]

History[edit | edit source]

After the closure of some mines administered by the Lens mining company, the workers were assigned to the construction of the stadium. Assistance was provided by Abstergo Industries, who used such operations as a cover for their investigations on a lost Templar treasure in the region.[1]

In 1998, the stadium hosted a World Cup match between France and Paraguay, making Lens the smallest city to have hosted such a match. In the 2020s, Assassin ally Simon Mulio visited the landmark during his search for the treasure, and uncovered that the link to Abstergo. After his disappearance, an Abstergo employee tracking him also visited the stadium.[1]
